That was a pretty good snow storm !!!

Started yesterday afternoon and blasted the whole night. Lots of wind, lots of snow. Took this pic this morning of my snowed-in walkway to my garage from the house. A few hours of shoveling and snow blowing my 400-foot laneway .... should be fun. Good thing I'm retired and have nowhere to go. An 8 out 10, this one! Anybody else get nailed?

That's what you get from living in Canada, you hoser! :D I remember, as a kid, my father and grandfather having to climb out on the porch roof from a 2nd floor window to clear 4-5' of snow off after storms when we lived in the eastern townships of Quebec. Leaving a pile of snow 15 feet high that would become a great fort/tunnel warren for me and my brother.

We had 6" of snow last night, changed to rain middle of the night.

Wow, that makes our snow storm out in southwest B.C. look whimpy. The arctic cold front came down our way, schools have been closed here for two days. Up until 10 days ago we’ve been having a very mild winter. By the end of this month though things will change quickly (rise in temperature) and we will be in early spring.

Incredible picture.

Nice pic. I love a good snow storm.

We had freezing rain at drive-time yesterday, turned to rain, then froze solid overnight and it's been real windy and overcast but no snow for us.

Not like that. Still hoping for the blizzard of 2019. Snowing regularly but not the big one.

We got it pretty good too....it's costing me a LOT of business the last few weeks with various weather incidents.

We got 5 inches last night, no biggie here. We’ve had very little snow and overall it’s been fairly mild this winter. The road crews do such a great job plowing and clearing that it poses very little inconvenience.

I’m with ya, Daniel. My place looks buried too. About 20” fell here on the southern Ont./Que. border. I live at the end of a 1,000’ private road. Our plowing contractor came twice during the storm and even with that, I spent four hours outside this morning/afternoon on the snowblower, plus raking 2’ of snow off the lower part of the front roof. Too tired to do the back which I will do tomorrow. The snow stopped for a bit, but it’s back snowing again. Records are being broken here. Crazy...it just won’t stop. Hardly a day goes by without some accumulation. I’m sick of this. We should be in Florida as we normally snowbird each winter, but we’re dealing with a personal matter that won’t let us get away. Aarrgghh!

The last two weeks have been pretty good for snow here in Baja Canada (AKA Minnesota).

One thing that cool about it, is that's it's been light snow that piles up beautifully on tree-branches and railing tops.

we had another mini blizzard last night. commutes were an extra hour, whiteouts, power outages.

That's a pretty good dump...Ours have been pretty normal so far this year between 1 and 8 inches or so. Two years ago we had one storm that dumped 3 ft in a little less than a 48 hour period .
