Lush, full-sounding tab arrangements?

I have a few of Ed Gerhard's tabs and really like them.
The Water Is Wide
If I Fell/In My Life
Moon River

They're so full and lush sounding. Any suggestions on where to get similar arrangements...or performers with a similar style (and who might have tabs)?

Look for pieces in open tuning or DADGAD tunings that call for very little use of string damping and have languorous chord changes.

Ed Gerhard usually gets a full sound out of his recordings. I like some of the tunes on his

"Sunnyland" CD tunes (a bit more energetic) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0ciuUD7pU

Check out Simon Fox, an Australian guitarist, who has free tabs available for his first three albums.

Also Stephen Wake, who provides tabs with every album download on bandcamp.

TBman 03-02-2021 06:58 PM

Also El McMeen.

Pete Huttlinger has some great arrangements, ranging from relatively achievable to mind-blowing. I bought two songbooks of his - worth every penny and still available from his website. You can also choose individual songs.

Mr.Jones,
I think my composition "Crossing Crystal Lake" will fit your criteria perfectly.

Although I don't read or write tab, I've been teaching fingerstyle, open-tunings and bottleneck since 1970.

However CCL is included in the Mel Bay book Fingerstyle Masters Vol. 1 where it is tabbed out.

Here's the original recording I did in 1998. It's in open D tuning, capo 2, Key of B. Enjoy!

Regards,
Howard Emerson
