I purchased an older Guild Mark IV - stock saddle?

Picked up a nice, but clearly well used Guild Mark IV from 1964. At some point someone removed the top finish and put a thin coat of clear back on it. Since it's been " worked on " I started looking at other parts. The one surprise is the saddle. I can see through it with light behind it. Does anyone know what the original saddle would have been? This may be it. I've just never seen one so translucent. What are the customary saddles you might find an a classical guitar?

You won't find many makers who use anything other than bone for saddles and nuts.

I sent an email to Bob Colosi and he said that if I can see through it with it back lit, it highly likely to be a natural material.

I thought about sending him the saddle to make a new bone version to see how it would sound. It may already be bone, but I was hoping to hear of any other possibilities.
