New Website
I'm very excited to have my new website up!
http://www.hatcherguitars.com I've been designing the site and putting together all of the content since last year and finally it's up and I've made my first rounds of corrections. I took the time and effort to do it myself so I would thoroughly know it and be able to update it regularly without the struggles I had on the previous site. Take a look! You may have to hit refresh if you have been on my previous site as it is still the same domain. Mark |
Mark, that's an exceptionally well-done website. Comprehensive, highly informative, easy to navigate, visually attractive - and of course great photography. I visit a lot of luthier sites and cannot think of a better done one.
I was prepared to offer constructive criticisms - but you left me no room for them. Congratulations! |
Very IMPRESSIVE web site
My goodness Mark.
That website is fantastic! Must have been a ton of work... now you can get back to building full time again. Hooray! Way to go and CONGRATULATIONS Paul |

It makes sense that you would prefer the Cuban Mahogany as it has more of the rosewood/ebony charm because it tends to be harder and stiffer than the other Mahogany family members Every wood family has a tough guy: Mahogany has Cuban Walnut has the appropriately named Bastogne Rosewood has crazy Cocobolo Maple has Rock Maple but his family calls him “Sugar”! |
Mark, the new website looks fantastic. So nice to see all of the various descriptions, photos, videos and the like. Such beautiful instruments!

I think it would be interesting to run comparative SoundCloud audio clips of same model-different woods. So it’s a work in progress. Mark |
Penelope is Back in Town
The finish is on and this Penelope is showing her stuff. Here is a picture of the two tone Amboyna Rosette on the Western Red Cedar top. The rosette and body is bordered with cross grained bacon figured African Padauk.

Can't wait! |
Another stunning one! That Koa is ok... ;)

..neither can I ... want to hear it.
Am hooked by the beauty of it... that ambonia burl and that headstock, the all so fitting and matching tunerknobs... this to me is the best looking piece of acoustic art I’ve seen.... ok.. I am a wood guy... but that knocks it out of the park. A bespoke build I assume? ... I hope it is... else I need to check what‘s left or print some.... |
Out of control Beautiful
the two tone Amboyna Rosette on the Western Red Cedar top Is by far the most beautiful all wood rosette I have ever seen!
And the rest of the guitar is STUNNING! Way to go! Paul |
