Some Masaaki Kishibe Songs
Hi everyone, first time posting here. My name is Juan Miguel, I am from Peru. I would like to share some of the covers I made, some months ago I started a YouTube channel. I mainly play as a hobby, stopped for many, many years, and last year the extra time at home gave me the possibility to improve more than ever, still have obviously miles to improve. I'm sharing my favorite covers, in my channel I mostly posts cover from Masaaki Kishibe and I have some fairly simple acoustic fingerstyle originals on the way. Here they go:
Hana https://youtu.be/rEWPeT4lhDU Absolutely lovely song and not that complex to play, one of my favorite from Masaaki-san. Shine of Silver Thaw https://youtu.be/MbWz_E0udwk I consider this a difficult song, tried to learn it as a challenge, it's not perfect but I am really proud that I am now able to play it. Drifting Clouds https://youtu.be/jKAdCedpahI What could you say, absolutely lovely tune while being simple, just a demonstration that you don't have to play complex stuff to deliver beautiful music. Thank you all for listening! |
I listened to your songs on youtube, you are a fine player. I wish I could play as well! Thx for posting here; Dan

Great job. I love Kishibe arrangements. I learned Shooting Star, Hana, and Rainy Window a few years ago and this inspires me to pull those back out. Thanks for sharing.

Welcome to the forum.
Nice even light touch and tempo and good recordings. Sounds like bare fingers and some places a bit of fingernail. Looking forward to your originals. |

Very good!
I'm a fan of Masaaki when I'm not buried in Celtic style music. :) Shooting Star is one of my favorites of his. Also, Gin has some beautiful tunes as well in the same vein. Here's an old cover of mine of Gin's Sakura Wish https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfyZq0P-Luc Also, look at Daria Semikina. |
