So very beautiful. I love the little triangle above the bridge. Is that a stencil dye?
Very cool have you have Tinker on it. Is that because it is an experimental guitar? or because it is a guitar marked for yourself? |
Very nice looking guitar, Mr. Bond.

K&G, it's an inlay. I have two brands, Halcyon, satin, as minimalist as I can get away with to keep the price down, and Tinker, like this one, gloss finish and much more laborious in the details, better grades of wood etc., which can run the price up. This particular beast was 4k$CAD on the nose with case.
Thanks Dan! |
Beautiful guitar Ed. What body size is that? Did you ever build the body that we communicated about?
|
Very attractive, and the rosette is particularly pleasing.
Kudos! Steve |
Hi Tim,
Thanks Tim, this is an SJ, based off the OLF plans on the outside, but with my own innards. IIRC, the template you kindly sent me was a 14 fret 00, which I think I've made about a dozen or so by now.... Steve, thanks as well, the rosette is made of strips bent on the hot pipe and embedded all at once with great patience and futzing. Not the easiest way but I like the results. This one was finished by Tony, who did an absolutely faultless job! |
Tinker bling !
Love that tinker bling ! Still loving mine out a Paduak ! Congrats on the latest !
Peace John |
Not nearly as fancy as yours John, but still pretty snazzy:)
|
Gorgeous piece. Rosette is especially awesome.

And most importantly, a happy customer on the receiving end!
Had an opportunity to deliver this guitar in person as I was on the Island anyway. I don’t actually meet very many of my clients these days, so it’s always a treat!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3d71ab78e4.jpg |
That's a sweet guitar Ed! Always nice to put a face to customers you build for :D
|
Thanks, it really is nice to meet the actual people...
