Help me ID this old archtop

Hey guys, I found this in the back of a friends music store over 20 years ago.

It had no bridge, tailpiece or tuning pegs. ...or nut.

But the neck was straight, frets looked Ok, body was in decent shape, so I bought for a few bucks.

No idea what make/brand it is, or about how old it could be.

The label on the head stock has been sanded off.

Hopefully the stenciling on the pick guard will help out with IDing it.

thx, Boog

Look VERY carefully on the back plates visible through the F holes. Many of the lower end ply archtops have a faded stamp visible. Use a small mirror and look at the top block, too.

It's got a dyed maple or pearwood fretboard, so it's a lower-tier instrument, regardless of the manufacturer. Closer pics would help, this is a bit like trying to give you an answer by looking across the room.
