6-string Acoustic Gets A New Bone Nut.

Hi there, good people :)

Just signed up here, looking forward to some good discussions ;)

I set-up and do maintenance on guitars on a daily basis, both for friends and paying customers. It's truly rewarding to give any instrument the proper set-up it needs, in order to play its best!

Currently I'm working on a 6-string acoustic guitar, replacing the stock plastic nut, and making a nice bone nut.
I've recorded some footage of my working process, and I thought it'd be nice to share it with you great people here!
It might be helpful for other people here :)

Enjoy & Cheers! :)

Everything looks too clean and tidy, you need to get some sawdust and dirt and splash it around and dirty the hands up :D, my hands and nails never look that clean ;)

Well, here's Part 3 in the Acoustic Guitar Gets A New Bone Nut Video Series!

I'll measure the nut slot depth and take out my jig, ready for filing.
I'll also degrease the bone, to get the remaining fat out of it.

Enjoy & Cheers! :)

Here's Part 4 in the Acoustic Guitar Gets A New Bone Nut.

It's time to find the proper string spacing and then start filing the starter slots.

Cheers! :)
