Neck/Bridge Glue and FB Level

The neck and bridge are glued up. Minstrel clamps?

The fretboard is leveled prior to fretting. The fretting is underway at the time of posting. Pics forthcoming.

Fretting

I just got a ton of pics from the Digital Imagery Dept. at Tahoe Guitars. Several posts follow.

Larry installs the frets.

A roll of raw fretwire. I prefer the gold EVO fretwire for its durability. FWIW, My OM armed with this fretwire shows no string line wear in the frets after 5 years of regular play. Good stuff!

Fretting 2

The fretting continues, but without worry. <---See that? ;)

Here you can see the rather massive fret buck, which gives support and stability while installing the frets on the FB extension.

Now the leveling and dressing begins. Yet another task with requires the patience of...a luthier.

Drilling/Slotting the Bridge

Larry drills the pin holes and slots the bridge.

http://i659.photobucket.com/albums/u...pscgx84mbz.jpg

Here is a mixture of the three woods comprising the structure of bridge system: Macassar Ebony, Carpathian Spruce, and Black Locust.
http://i659.photobucket.com/albums/u...psb5t5ygxc.jpg

The pin holes are chamfered (sloped at the top). Note the right angle at the top of the holes.
http://i659.photobucket.com/albums/u...pspw6fgsag.jpg

http://i659.photobucket.com/albums/u...psf4f1feqc.jpg

Now the tops are sloping.
http://i659.photobucket.com/albums/u...psnhyfhno2.jpg

Now the bridge is slotted. Using this elegant tool, the distance from the nut to the 12th fret is found.
http://i659.photobucket.com/albums/u...psqkax1eni.jpg

It is then duplicated between the 12th fret and the bridge.

Completed!

The guitar has been completed! I have it home, and will begin the process of playing it in. It sounds great out of the gate. I will check back in a week or so with a video.

Thanks to Larry Nair of Tahoe Guitar Co. for building another fine guitar. Also I must thank him for his kindness, generosity, and patience, allowing access to and sharing his process.

Thanks to YOU for following this thread.
