I gave up my competitive photography in '95, so all of mine were made the old fashioned way with ..... film, chemicals and .. paper!

I did get an international gold medal at the end though.

There were no forums back then (AFAIK)

Just wondering, do photographers show pictures of ... guitars ... on their forums?

I'm not a photographer, but it's hard to take a bad picture in the Canadian Rockies. This was the best of the best from our trip last summer. Moraine Lake on gorgeous July morning. What you don't see is that I had to work fairly hard not to get people in the shot and we waited in traffic for over an hour to get a parking space. But totally worth it.

Whoa great subject matter but resizing is your friend.

This one of Eddy the elk and his buddy Eric ,was taken a few years back taken while standing in what was our back pasture. And in an interesting twist of fate is now looking out on our new pasture behind Eddy and Eric. Our new house is on top of the ridge

My eldest son and I have made a habit of visiting the Minneapolis Auto Show together over the last several years. It's always a great place to take photos - and challenging, as the light is seldom friendly, there are tons of people around, and working with reflections can be equally frustrating and liberating. Here are a few from this year's show.

Great pics! Where exactly were you in Gulf of Maine? That is beautiful. We are planning a trip nearby.

We were on a 4 day sail on the Victory Chimes out of Rockland ME

The Victory Chimes is a 118 year old, 135ft schooner that is the only original three-masted schooner in the famed Maine Windjammer fleet. It has a 40-guest capacity. We had a greattime.

Thank you, Dirk! Out of the 80 or so photos I took that day, this one is easily my favourite, especially as it's unedited (or SOOC - straight out of camera).

Obviously some accomplished photographers on AGF (no surprise!). I've been into this hobby on and off for about um, geez, 50 years (since I had a darkroom in my parents basement when I was 13).

I recently took a trip to a few Porini Conservancy's in Kenya. A bucket list trip for me. It was a sensational dreamlike experience. Came back 2 weeks ago and I still can't get the Masai people, the otherworldly vibe and the amazingly free animals out of my mind.

That's Mt. Kilimanjaro in the background of the giraffe shot.
