R Taylor

Hi MFG,

Did R Taylor go under?

I hear rumors that they are "putting the R Taylor luthiers on other high priority projects" (I think that's corporatespeak for R Taylor is no more), and thought you'd be the expert to ask.

Thanks.

RTaylor is technically still in existence -- but there are no more Style 1,2 3 builds. Stay tuned for 2012 updates. :)

Yes, RTaylor is no more...but Taylor will be offering lots of cool new ideas for 2012! RTaylor is going to become the luthier’s lab, where we’re going to be doing really cool things (developing classicals, ukuleles, ultra limited stuff, etc…so stay tuned! :)

Interesting.

Taylor has changed their models and material so often, it's hard to keep track.

I owned an 810SE, a 510 and sold them both and the only Taylor I still own is a 2003 214L3[special edition). It's all wood, Sapele and spruce with a dove on the headstock. It's a nice auditorium size to go with my 2 Martins.

Does anyone else own one of these 214L3s?

Another new MSG customer. Just ordered a Martin GPCPA3. Very good communications and service. Thanks Jon and Sharon.:)

I can't afford it, and don't deserve it, but I just feel a little better knowing this exists in the world:

I have had the pleasure of dealing with MFG many times over the years and I can highly recommend them. If they don't have what you are looking for in stock they will order it for you and their prices are unbeatable.

Thanks Jon!

If you are on the fence about ordering from MFG, go ahead and buy. I just picked up a Taylor and received the item (12 time zones away) in two days. The cost of the guitar and shipping was the best I've seen. Jon and Sharon were very helpful throughout and the box was expertly packed. Will certainly be buying more from them.
Good to see that great customer service is alive and well.

I've bought several guitars from Jon and Sharon, extra wonderful people, and I'd like to believe since every guitar I've gotten from them has been a keeper, they're highly regarded as a dealership and only sent the finest instruments. That's sure how I've felt as a repeat customer. I'll be back again.

Buy with complete confidence!

I can't imagine buying a Martin from anyone else. All purchased at MFG.
