Great deal
Wow....this is a great opportunity for someone. My SSS Sergei Dejonge continues to amaze. The main thing of course, is the TONE. I'm sure this instrument holds its own with other guitars listed for thousands more.
Best wishes to seller and fortunate buyer!! |

Thank you very much! They are incredible sounding instruments de Jonge makes. |
A friend of mine acquired a used DeJonge SSS three years ago. I have played it many times and believe it to be a world-class, "keeper" guitar. Expressive, responsive, powerful and sweet.
My friend, unlike me, is a high-rotation trader/buyer/seller. The mere fact that he's held on to his DeJonge for over three years speaks volumes. A guitar of this caliber for less than $4000 offers incredible value for money. Hence, the friendly bump. |

Thank you very much, Deft. I appreciate it. It’s such a gorgeous guitar to play, de Jonge makes incredible quality. Just want it to go to a good home. |
A little shocked this one has been hanging around since February! Looks amazing for its age and I suspect sounds the same. GLWS!!
|
Thank you Jeff! Beautiful guitar looking for a good home.

Could you describe the condition, and action at the 12th fret?

Hey there, my apologies for the very late response. I just replied to your DM as well. The guitar is in excellent condition. The action is a little higher than other guitars, but I wouldn’t say anything crazy at all. The guitars plays wonderfully. Please let me know of any other questions! |
What a lovely looking guitar, and a great price. If I didn't have two guitars that were in a similar tonal ballpark I would jump on this. My main guitar is made by Fabrizio Alberico, who apprenticed under Sergei. It looks similar to this one, especially in the headstock. I bet this one sounds great, and its had plenty of time to break in and be played.

That’s really cool to hear! I know Sergei had a lot of apprentices with his school up in Toronto. With the simple look of this guitar, I always forget how it loud and gorgeous it sounds. Just absolutely echoes throughout the room. Makes my Gibson J-15 and Collings OM-2H seem like cheap guitars haha. |
I've sent you a PM.

Another friendly bump from someone with no affiliation with the seller.
A few days ago, I got to play my friend’s SSS again. What a fantastic guitar!! One thing I noticed about it was the lovely way the notes bloom and swell as they ring out, just awesome for slower fingerstyle tunes. And yet there is no clutter between notes when playing denser material. So cool. I can’t believe your guitar hasn’t sold yet. Seriously folks, this is a LOT of guitar at any price. For this kind of money, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better bargain. |
