NGD Custom Froggy C

Here’s a new 12-fret Froggy Bottom C that I ordered 6+ months ago with a couple of modifications. It’s a Mahogany/Adi with a solid headstock, pyramid bridge and 2-5/16” spacing at the bridge. As is typical with Froggy Bottom guitars, this one sounds big, deep and resonate for an 00-sized guitar.

Well all right!

dneal 11-03-2018 04:06 PM

Congrats!!!

Although I’m quite content with what I have, were I to do it all over again I would get a C with 1 7/8” nut in rosewood.

KenL 11-03-2018 04:09 PM

That's some pretty mahogany! Congrats!

Ukulele_Eddie 11-03-2018 04:19 PM

Yikes! That is a killer guitar. Congratulations.

Just curious... how long does it take a Froggy to go from order to delivery?

My last Froggy took 11 months from order to delivery. This one was just under 7 months. I think they are building around 100 guitars/year.

Mahogany/Adi is such a fantastic combo, and the rest of your specs also seem pretty ideal - thats a fantastic guitar! Congrats!!

Mycroft 11-04-2018 09:07 AM

Very nice. May you have many years of happy pickin' down the line.

Congrats on your new lovely Froggy. Smaller body and mahog with adi on top must sound really focussed and rich. As it grows up, it will gain likely coherence and responsiveness. I have never played a model C and I would love to. It would be so interesting to compare the models H-12, M-12 and C-12 in identical woods to get some sense of the effect of body dimensions. It seems to me the body volume is similar but the shape (plantilla) and depths are different. Bracing might be quite different too. Maybe one day I'll buy a lottery ticket and that ship will come home - I'll commission 3 guitars from Michael to run that experiment. Enjoy and report back how it compares to your other Froggy, a K right?

Thank you. I’ve already changed strings once to see what surprises may lay within.

Normally, I'd agree with the first sentence, but Haasome has a pretty wicked amazing stable and has impeccable taste with guitars. I suspect this guitar is every bit as good as the others he has. ;)

But, I definitely agree with the second sentence! :D As far as I'm concerned the world would be a better place if all discerning acoustic guitarists had a Frog in their stable. :D

Haasome, congrats on the new Frog!!! Play it in good health!!!! I'd love to hear how you spread the playing time around your awesome stable. :)
