I'm re-reading the Horatio Hornblower series of books (this time on my Kindle)

I'm also reading the Michael Connelly "Bosch" books. After seeing the hows on TV, I decided to explore the books. Very well written!

Just about to finish book 3 of the C.S. Lewis' space trilogy...

Book 1 - Out Of Silent Planet
Book 2 - Perelandra
Book 3 - That Hideous Strength

Each book very different than that other two. All are great. Perelandra is my favorite of the trilogy.

I usually have a couple.
Currently, Brian Greene’s The Hidden Reality is my “bathroom book”, and I’m chewing through The Lord Of The Rings again for the I-don’t-know-how-many-times.

I'm just about 50 pages into "2312" by Kim Stanley Robinson, one of my favorite authors in any genre, especially sci fi. I've read about 6 of his other books and I highly recommend him. A visionary.

I just finished Eat to Live by Joel Furhman, MD.

After almost 60 years of eating whatever I wanted, the scale and BP are finally starting to catch up to me.

While he advocates a vegan diet (not going to happen), my take away is that there is still a lot of benefit to upping the fruits and veggies and decreasing the refined carbs, even for us carnivores.

He isn't selling anything (other than the book), and as a layman I found his arguments pretty convincing.

Like a lot of my reading, I heard about it here on the AGF!

John Grisham "The Summons". I love summer time, it's the only time I read fiction, and I gobble it up; I'll probably read two dozen novels before labor day.

I'm reading _Adjustment Day_ by Chuck Palahniuk (author of Fight Club). Although I'm still afraid at each turn of the page, it's the most intelligent modern 'dissection' of the Internet culture so many have swallowed without chewing.

I loved the movie Ready Player One. In fact I am going to see it once more on the big screen tomorrow before it ends its run.

A coworker urged me to read the book.

I took the book on a roadtrip when I had lots of captive hours. By page four I was completely hooked and couldn't put it down. I devoured the book with every free moment I had. One of the best books I have ever read.

And the particulars of the story differed from the movie and it felt like a completely different (but familiar) story.

I am an 80's fanatic. I love video games. This book was like the greatest creation ever made about video games, computer games, virtual reality, related social interactions. And more than that it was the best flood of 80's pop culture ever. Combined, for someone like me, it was incredible.
