Nice to see Mr. Genzler back in the "acoustic" amp market. This looks like a thoughtful update of the old Shenandoah line. I'll look forward to trying one soon!

"MIC AND INSTRUMENT INPUTS --- on each channel. These inputs can also be used simultaneously together on each channel"
Does it mean you can plug 2 guitars and 2 mics on the same time? |
Certainly looks like a quality presentation. I take it Genzler is the successor to Genz Benz.
Not sure what differentiates it innovation-wise or price-wise from other high end competitors other than the 10" speaker which is not necessarily a definite improvement. I believe it has one less channel than Acus/Schertler. Regarding separate effects for each channel, that's good and bad. Good for flexibility and bad because it gives people the chance to mess up the acoustic space and sound unnatural which can happen when using different verbs for instance. If one was sitting five feet away from me I'd be anxious to try it out but I can't tell from the product blurb and pictures why it would stand out from Acus, Schertler, Mesa Rosette, AER and others in that class. |

Seems to have fixed gain on each inputs. Since the power rails are 12v, I hope they have put enough gain not to face mackie freeplay and JBL eon one problems...

Indeed, Cuki79. I really hope so.

Very interesting offering. Priced like the Mesa Rosette.
It's really hard to tell for sure from the pictures provided but it looks like there is a master volume as well as a volume control for each channel. Isn't that a variable gain set up? (Honest question.) Clearly, you can dial in separate effects for each channel but it looks like (again less than optimal pictures) the effects parameter controls are in the master section. If so you can have separate amounts of verb for each channel but it's going to be the same kind of verb both. That seems good/right. The specs say the input impedance is 5 megohms. That would be the instrument input. That wouldn't apply to the mic input, too, would it? _Roger |
Had a Genz Benz and was not too impressed for a pro amp. The tone was just not nearly as good as other offerings. Hope this is a higher level system with better tone like AER produces. It does look nice though. Hope it sounds nice. I like the features for a solo act only.

Very cool amp Cuki!

Very interesting. This looks promising!

It actually reminds my an awful lot of the previous Genz-Benz Compak 300.
