Thank you very much Barry!

BTW I finally listened to your recording yesterday. It was excellent.

I must have missed it, just went back and listened to it. Very precise timing and control over the mood of the song. Clearly played with great emotion, great job.

Like how the sycopation opens up To resolve. Also like the pinch triads and how they carry the melody. Great stuff Doug! Got a mediocre version recorded of both tunes recorded not too long ago. Maybe I'll see if I got anything worth posting here in a bit.

Thank you so much Luke!

Since my last song went reasonable well I think I'm going to continue on with this thread and learn another tune. My next tune will be a three song medley of Cincinnati Flow Rag, New York Rag and Hot Dogs from Stefan Grossman's "Ragtime Blues Guitar" DVD. On with the show!

Day 1: spent some time last night with the DVD and listened to the medley and the lessons (3) that followed. Seems quite doable since it builds on the tracks I've learned from the DVD already. I just need to get the medley stuck in my head first.

Thanks! Not sure what you mean?

I spent a solid six hours today recording drums for my band's demo disc, and I'm spent. On the plus side, I now have all the kinks worked out on the equipment side for recording to my PC. Now I just need to learn the music.

I'm enjoying listening to all your recordings. You guys are sounding good!

Well, I have worked though all the sections of the song. (Last Steam Engine Train) Have it memorized, just need to practice it more to polish it up.
