I've got tickets to see the guy live next Saturday - should be interesting to see how a youngster that age puts together a whole show.

Your right Min7 that it's not a sport, but you can measure the skill level against, creative imagination, originality and the big one, age and the time it took to achieve that level. There is another boy on the net who is twelve now, but even at 6 he could play hardball with the big boys. But his fingers aren't long enough yet to see what he can really do. (Notice Joe Robinson's fingers, they're long and stretch the fretboard comfortably).
I myself never said he was better then Tommy E., Phil Emmanuel made some statement about where he's headed when he's 21.
I'm curious to know what you think of him JR after you see him on Saturday Ron.

He's quite good, but I kind of feel like Tommy still has the "musicality" of it all down better than most musicians will ever achieve in their lifetime.

While the kid is good, he's great actually. I still feel as though he kind of lacks the "feel" that will come with experience. Let's hope he can keep his skill but not let it get the better of him and make him cocky.

Haha. Well, at least his fingers will probably get longer! I think that's where boys have the advantage when playing guitar. It's difficult for me to hold chords over 4 frets.

All my guy friends have fingers that are like my finger + 1/4 and I have one friend who can bend the top of his fingers over mine. xD I told him that he should play guitar, but he says that lacks the finger coordination for it.

I suppose my fingers could just come from my genetic make-up, since my dad has short fingers for a guy too.. but my friends that are also girls have pretty much the same finger length as me.

I don't know if anyone followed through on the video, but Joe won the 2007 'Australia's Got Talent' tv show, and has just finished touring parts of Europe after some time in Nashville.

He's now touring Australian states (I'm seeing him on May 9th)before heading back to the US in July.
