Nylon string short scale hybrid??
 

Looking for short scale, 1 and 7/8 or less nut width, c shape neck, 12 fret. Does anyone make all of this in one guitar?

Look at Taylor - I have a 712 Nylon 12 fret that I love and is one of my 2 gigging guitars.

How short do you want to go?
The newest Córdoba “Mini II” line has a 20” scale in several configurations.

I have the cutaway/pickup model and I like it a lot.

Córdoba makes the Dolce parlor nylons. They might not be considered a hybrid per se, but they are short scale at around 24.8” scale length and a 1.96” nut width. They have a baseline C5 Dolce model, an all solid cedar on mahogany C9 Parlor, or the cedar on rosewood C10 parlor.

I don’t know if you have ever played an Alhambra classical guitar , but they are really good sounding guitars. They have a Señorita model that is short scale and a slightly narrowed nut width. Their necks are flatter than C shape, but I find them more comfortable and easier to play than the Cordoba C shape https://xguitars.com/collections/alh...sical-guitar-1

I did a small inventory of scale lengths vs body sizes. The Cordoba parlor has a short scale for the size of the body, IMO. Torres, for example, didn't build any guitars with that body size (the Dolce is a dead ringer for Torres' larger bodies, except a tiny bit deeper) and a 630 scale, probably owing to a reduced ability to drive that size top well with that scale length. On the Dolce, Cordoba makes up for the short scale with HT strings, so if the desire for a short scale is lower tension for easy fretting, this guitar might not be the thing. No free lunch! : (

The Cordoba Cadete is 3/4 size, 1.9 nut, 22.5ish scale, and has a solid cedar top.

I've been on the same search and settled on the Kremona Sofia. I felt the Cordoba Fusion models were excellent- though not short scale, the necks were cut a little thinner, sporty to play.

Don't forget the Ovation nylons, I think the model is 1773ax. Slightly less than 25.5" scale, 1 7/8" nut. I had one for a bit but sent it back due to electronics that were cutting in and out but I liked the playability.

I would like the specs you mentioned in a thin body. Kirk Sand guitars for instance but so far out of my budget range laughable!

Don't know if you are concerned about scale length or nut width (they are different). If you are talking about nut width, Cordoba makes several guitars that have a 1 7/8" width. I believe that the GK (Gypsy King) and the Orchestra versions have this narrow neck. If you want a less than full size then there are many to consider.

What ever you buy avoid the Cordoba Mini II. Its a heaping pile. It has half the volume the old MINI had and the neck is half of a baseball bat. I noticed that every GC in my area stopped stocking them...
