Larrivee D40R

So........., after 9 months of waiting i could finally pick up my new Larrivee D40r.
It's a custom guitar; lefthanded,without pickquard and with a wide neck; 1 7/8.
But it was worth waiting for, i love it right from the start.
She sounded immediately very loud and open.
The bass is completely different than i was used to with the slope shouldered SD50 (mahogany) The D40 really has a deep bass, that was one of the things i was looking for;)
The guitar looks flawless, and very well made,i think we can become friends for a very long time....
I never owned a rosewood guitar before,i like the darker sound a lot.
So now i am done buying guitars, one hog one rosewood ;that should do it!!
I really wanted to share the pictures with you...:)

Congrats, great looking guitar.
Enjoy it for years.
I’m a big Larrivee fan myself, I’ve got a few.

Congrats! If I bought another dread, it would be a Larrivee D40R. I love the maple binding against the herringbone...

Congrats! I've played the production model of this and it was wonderful so I can imagine that your custom is even better. Thanks for sharing your joy with us.

Congrats on the new guitar! I love the look of it. Years ago, I had a D10 and I know what you mean about the bass. It was a wonderful guitar that I really wish I still owned.

Congratulations on acquiring your Larrivee D-40R, and that is one of the best-looking tops I've seen on any guitar!

The Larrivee Legacy Series D-40R, D-40M, and SD-40M are the best bang for the buck out there in an American-made dreadnought. I currently have the D-40M Legacy and SD-40M and I've owned a D-40R. These guitars are light in weight and full, clear, and resonant. Every one I've owned or have played in a store has been an exceptional guitar! The only downside for some players is that they have a satin finish but a gloss finish version is available for several hundred more.

I said that once, many, many guitars ago. Congrats on the D-40r. I have no doubt that you'll enjoy years of time with your new Larrivee.
