Martin Custom 00 12-fret Madi/Adi **SOLD**

For all you double-0 lovers - and who isn't - here's a totally unique and killer little guitar from the Martin Custom Shop. Anyone who's played a CS 00 knows what projecting little monsters they are. Great nuance from this one - the tone can be intimate, balls-y, present, melodic, thumping. You get that click under your fingernails up the neck. A gas to play and just look at this thing....Condition is pristine - I can find one tiny nick on binding, that's it. Guitar came with K&K w/ external pre-amp installed. I have no need for these things so had it pulled out and put in proper NoJack endpin. Pickup is in case pocket and will be included. Guitar is finished in hand-rubbed nitrocellulose lacquer which is too cool to try to describe. It's slightly smaller than standard 00s, until you hit that first chord.

The specs:

2014
Adi top
Madagasgar b/s
Adi braces/full hide glue construction
Darker Madagasgar binding
Multi-colored (red/green/black) top border
Foden-style inlays at 5th, 7th, 9th
-45 style rosette
1 3/4 nut
2 3/16 spacing at saddle
14 1/16 lower bout
Tuners - nickle Waverlies, ebony buttons
4 1/16" depth at tail
24.9 scale
Martin stamp on back of h/s
Custom case w/ embroidered Custom Shop logo and shroud

$4500 (12/20)

Robert - what a stunner! A drool-worthy CS Martin right there. And an awesome seller, to boot.

Hey, thanks Nate! Yep, this guitar is totally cool, a lot of stuff like really subtle purfling lines and backstrip, Iluak ivory strap button, green ab inlays. I see you've turned your lineup over quite a bit....Robert

I have the sibling of this exact guitar. It's based on a Martin Style 30 (which is how I refer to it in my sig). There was a run of 7, preceding the 000-30 Authentics.
These are really loud for their size, great voice!

For clarity, the 12-fret 00 may be smaller than the 14-fret version, but this specific guitar has the same size as any other Martin 12-fret 00.

Someone should jump on this - you will not be disappointed!

Thanks, Tom! You made me run back and re-measure and no matter how I do it I can't get past 14 3/64 on lower bout, so a little below the spec 14 1/8 on this one. My Martin OM measures almost a full 1/4" wider at lower bout than the 15" spec. Possible that as things pass through the custom shop there may be nominal variations...?

Thanks for the nice endorsement of the guitar....Robert

Yikes!

What a great looking guitar. And from one of the best folks on AGF!

Actually, now that I look further, mine had no pick guard, and has Koa bindings rather than Madi.

Nothing structural or changes the tone IMO.

I'm saying, through a number of incredible instruments, my 00 has stood firm when others have been sent down the highway. It's my wife's favorite (and she has incredible ears!).

For reference, you'd have to give me a fair amount more to pry it out of my hands than this one is listed at (you'd be shocked at the MSRP by the way).

Hey, Jeff - As usual you're right about the guitar only :). Go Chiefs!

I've been asked a couple of questions about neck shape....neck is low oval, 1 3/4 at nut, tapering to 2 1/8 at 12th fret. So that, from what I read, makes it a Martin performing artist neck.
