Who uses a mic stand bracket for their I-Pad?

Which one is the best? Looking for some input before making a purchase.

I have a couple of them. I like the Hercules best (http://www.amazon.com/Hercules-DG305.../dp/B009679I7O)

I use a RAM mount - fast and easy.

Hi Judson…

I'm using this one for now which is adjustable, and will hold my iPad vertically or horizontally. It attaches to the main shaft or the base of my mic stands. Also, this holder will hold my iPad in it's protective case. I don't have to remove the iPad from the case to use the stand holder.

I like the fact it is spring loaded so I can adjust a bit tight when I'm using it to hold/grip my iPad vertically by it's sides (in portrait orientation). The double joints also allow for it to be used slightly off center and still be level.

I also appreciate the fact it will fit any size tablet up to 10". I have owned 4 models of iPads and every one is a different size than the others. This particular unit would fit an iPad mini, iPad Air or iPad Pro.

Thanks folks!! :)

I second the Hercules. It also comes with a nifty kickstand for practicing at home.

Thanks for the suggestions!

I ended up ordering the Hercules. It just looks like the simplest and least cumbersome of the many, many similar devices on the market.

I'm using a 12.2" tablet on a Hercules mike stand, attached with this holder:

I've got 3 or 4 months on it, and it's working well.

I would like to have my tablet set up on a mike stand but I don't know enough about those things. I have put some songs on the tablet but if I have to scroll down I have to stop playing to do so. Is there an app. or a program for this?

I use this AirTurn pedal. Makes page turns super simple. http://store.airturn.com/airturn-duo/

Hi Ditch…
I own three different iOS apps which are chart display apps. All of them deal with multi-page charts.

All of them advance to the next page with a tap on the screen, or tap on my AirTurn pedal. On one of them if I rotate the tablet sidewise, the print enlarges and it kicks into a mode where it advances down the page in ˝ page increments, and then advances to the next page.

Another allows you to guess how fast the song will progress and it will scroll down the page automatically (hands/feet free). I don't like that feature very much, because it's really hard to say "One more time!" and repeat song sections spontaneously.

One of my apps uses the AirTurn pedal and scrolls smoothly down the page to the bottom, and then can be advanced to the next page (but you need a 4 button AirTurn pedal to both scroll and advance pages).

Hope this gives you a 'glimpse' of options (some of which can be turned on/off in the app).

Hi Larry, Wow thanks that in very helpful. I'll be doing research on this today. It's getting real old hauling around my books of songs. Thanks again.

I got this one on sale for $24.99. It's gone up since, but it is well worth it. Best holder I've found. VERY secure, easy to adjust to multiple sized tablets, and can go from portrait to landscape in seconds.

BTW - my iPad fits with or without the protective case on it.

Ditch - I also use the AirTurn Ped pedal for page turning. I use pdf files, and there are several Android apps that will work with the pedal (lots more choices on iOS). My motivation was the same as yours - that binder had gotten big, not fun to haul around, precarious on the music stand, etc. So far I am pleased with the transition to a tablet.
