Acoustic Guitar Magazine Pick Review -- CLP, Wegen, Apollo & Honey Picks
I must tell you, folks, one of the things I enjoy most about this business is promoting ALL the boutique pick companies, not just CLP. It gives me a real thrill, and I'm often told by people that we're the only company who does this.
I'm proud to report that the reviewer wrote more copy about our company (yes, I'm competitive), and had more to say about the tonal performance of our products than the others. Anyway, on to business. In May of this year Acoustic Guitar Magazine featured four boutique guitar pick companies -- Apollo, Wegen, Honey Picks and ourselves. I never promoted this, cuz we're too dang busy. We're humbled to be in such fine company. I love this business, and I really work hard to promote not just CLP but the entire boutique pick family. Like any family, we're slightly dysfunctional, but what the hey. Thanks for taking a look. And thank you for all the support through the years. January 1st marks the beginning of our seventh year in business. Gee, where has the time gone?
Thanks Again, Scott |
Happy Holidays!

After a really restful -- and necessary -- three-week hiatus for the holidays, we have finally reopened our online store. There are a couple of new models we've added to the line-up.
Direct link to our store: http://www.charmedlifepicks.com/online-store Our extremely popular artisan cabernet casein line has been re-added to our line-up, permanently. We had run out of this stunning material, then, after three years of scouring the planet, found a number of sheets halfway around the world. This stunning material is a world-wide exclusive to Charmed Life Picks. https://i.imgur.com/JX5xPyjm.jpg This photo doesn't come close to showing the beauty of this material. Some of our prettiest stuff is really hard to photograph. It has this beautiful marbling in it. Below is a much more revealing photo of this same material. https://i.imgur.com/0x9Rp8Hh.jpg We've also upgraded our flagship Iridescence teardrop with a newer, even more stunning inlay. This is the same cabernet casein material as above, inlaid with our Shamrock logo in genuine blue-green New Zealand paua abalone. (BTW, this is a perfect Valentine present for the guitarist in your life.) Again, a real lousy photo. You'll find these near the top of our store page. https://www.charmedlifepicks.com/online-store https://i.imgur.com/0MMjWvdm.jpg |
Happy New Year & thanks for looking.

After three years of searching the globe, we lucked into some more of our industry-leading cabernet casein material. We have enough now to release a couple models. These have always been among the best selling picks in our catalog, and as soon as we introduced the new models they immediately shot up the charts in our sales portfolio.
This stunning material is a world-wide exclusive of charmed life picks. https://i.imgur.com/JX5xPyjm.jpg And yet the cosmetics are only part of the story. You will not find a better sounding pick material anywhere in the industry. I've often said that I'd play dog doo if it sounded good, but I can assure you that this stuff sounds as good as it looks. I know the following description sounds like something out of a Trader Joe's wine catalog, but the tone of this material has been described by our customers through the years as smooth, balanced, quiet, bold but never brassy, bright but never harsh. Here's our online store link. You'll find these models about halfway down, on the right side. https://www.charmedlifepicks.com/online-store Casein material is very difficult to photograph, and I can tell you that this is a lousy photo of a stunning. It has black veins running through a field of cabernet, blood-red casein. Here's a better photo, without the logo applied (but it will have the green logo engraved on the tri as well): https://i.imgur.com/wi6Ql8Bm.jpg |
What a year we had in 2022. Wishing you all the best for 2023.
