Well, his other choices were E Rod and Pomeranz, unless he wanted to go with 3 starters which wasn't feasible given Sale's health. E Rod did a good job when he had to after Eovaldi was unexpectedly used in game 3, but it would have been tough to start him in game 2 over Price.

I'm still wondering why they had Pomeranz on the roster over Workman?? He never pitched an inning in the post season. If you don't trust him in an 18 inning game, when? Workman must be hurt.

In a post-game interview, Cora stated that he gave the start to Price because Price was "dialed in". Given the results, I'd say that he was exactly right.

Sale couldn't have been too far under the weather considering he pitched the final inning and struck out the side.

This was an amazing season by an amazing team and it will be a long time before we see the like again.
