Really looking forward to this arriving. I really like the sound of it in the demos and the look of it just oozes class.

I just have to work out how to fit my overdrive pedal in as there is no effects loop. Will have to try it before the soulmate. That should work?

Guitar > Harmony Singer > Overdrive > Soulmate > XLR to desk ??

I really like my Soulmate Acoustic—-sounds great and makes life so much easier! It has replaced my pedalboard for the most part. However, the looper is pretty difficult to use standing up so I’ve reverted to my old pedal board for those type of gigs (using my Ditto X2 for a looper).

My chain: guitar—-Harmony Singer—-Soulmate Acoustic—-xlr to desk.

Like mine.
The shimmer on reverb does not do what I thought,
but, just keep it low.

I’m still waiting to use this live. The power supply I received had a strange buzzing which translated to the PA when plugged in (I’ve used another power supply and it was fine).
I’m just waiting to receive a new power supply from T-Rex. Anyone have a bag for their soulmate? Any ideas who does one that fits reasonable well?

It’s a digital Preamp according to the website.

Definitely worth getting now that they dropped the price.

What is the 1/4” jack beside the level control for? It’s not labeled and I couldn’t find it in the manual. I’m sure I missed it. Thanks.

It says that it's got something to do with the Shimmer, so I'd assume a way of realtime control over the Shimmer level.

This is from speaking directly with the people at T-Rex:
"The SMA is 100% digital; it comes with a gigantic DSP processor and algorithms, which sound amazing. It’s not possible to modify the SMA. It consists of a central Digital Signal Processor, so everything is digital from input to output."

I have one and like it. I like it’s metal solidity, and the sound is natural and acoustic-y. The looper is useful! It’s my favorite pure acoustic preamp, although sometimes the TC Voicelive 3 has replaced it somewhat as I like the harmonies.
Not finding a gig bag for it, I find a large drummer’s stick-bag fits it pretty well!

I have an old briefcase I found in a free pile that holds the TRA, along with all my other odds and ends. Might check a thrift store near you -
