Here is one of the guitars I'll have a Memphis this next weekend. This is a black translucent finish over Bear Claw spruce - with a black burst. Something like this could open a new perspective on some of your custom dreams. Come play it!!

That is a really incredible finish and unique look. I have not seen anything like that before. Really cool. Congrats.

TomB'sox - thanks, this is a rather unique thing in the acoustic world. I think it will start to appeal to many people and will make a unique guitar.

printer2 - I'm hoping to get some pics snapped before the show.

Thanks for the comments.

Here is a close up of this black translucent finish over bear claw spruce. I feel the grain took the stain beautifully!!! It looks great in person. This picture really shows it well.

I imagine the bear claw with abalone binding and wood purflings. I think it would resemble this one below a lot. But the bear claw figure would look different than the redwood. The stain really accents the bear claws figure. I like it and think its a fairly 'new look'.

See, much better.

Wish I could see it in person. I really like what the stain does. The rest is not too shabby also.

AGF struggles a bit when threads top 300 posts. We are closing this one but please feel free to start a volume 2.
