SOLD ■ Taylor GC5 with ES pickup
See photos here: http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/msg/5970340747.html
Cedar and mahogany + pickup in excellent condition with case. One of the warmest and sweetest-sounding Taylors and records superbly (was tempted to hang onto it for that reason alone)! It's a cedar and mahogany 14-fret model with slothead, full body (non-cutaway for fuller tone), plus optional Taylor-installed ES multi-sensor pickup. While the label says "GC5", it is probably closest to the current model 512e with a 14-fret neck instead of 12-fret (guess you could call it a GC5e). According to the Taylor website it is not currently offered as a standard production model but may be ordered through Taylor's Custom program. https://www.taylorguitars.com/guitars/acoustic/gc5 This is an excellent no-problems guitar that is underpriced to get someone a great deal soon and assist in my GRS (gear reduction struggle). My notifications are sometimes flakey, so best to get in touch via direct email: [email protected] If you wish to make an offer, please include the usual details and I'd be glad to answer any questions, of course. Thanks Someone will get a great deal and really love this guitar! Possible trade +$ for current version Taylor 712e or 812e. |

Bumped (I try not to bump more frequently than 4 pages back or a couple days).
Apologies to those who have seen this posting previously among other repeat bumps, but I hope that someone looking for something like this and viewing it initially (or reconsidering) will be glad to find a very nice price for a very nice guitar in very nice condition. Best thoughts to all in this new year! |
Another page 4 bump. This is a terrific Taylor at a very low price for model w pickup and condition.

Exploring possible trade:
I am seeking a Taylor 712e (2016) or 812e (post-2014). I'm looking for the 12-fret model, each having the most current version bracing, pickup not essential. Other than the described Taylor GC5e, I also have an Avalon S200 to consider. It's a AAA-grade spruce/rosewood guitar about the size of a Taylor 12, Martin 00 or Lowden S; made in the Newtownards Ireland shop by staff shared among Avalon and Lowden in 2002. I have other guitars of that size or with cedar top, including other Irish ones, and my thinking is that I would like to substitute one of the Taylor spruce/rosewood 12's to add its tonal contrast to the others. Email is best to: [email protected] Thanks! |
What is the string spacing at the saddle?
|
I measure string spacing at the saddle at 2-3/16"
