This custom order was placed last May and I've been excited all summer to get started on it. The customer who this is being built for had been searching for a very outstanding set of Koa for this specific build, and boy did we find a good one! He has several custom builds from other distinguished luthiers and I'm very appreciative to have an opportunity to get one of mine among his stable of guitars. There are some other special items that will be included in this build along the way that should be interesting including, a custom inlay for the rosette/inner Soundhole as well as a corresponding Baritone Ukulele that will be built along the way from the scrap pieces of Koa. Just as a clarification, the drawing of the cutaway on this template is florentine, not venetian. A handy way to remember them is florentine ends with 'tine' like the tines on a fork – pointy.
