Here's a fun clip of Glen Campbell playing the William Tell Overture. He's great, of course, but the orchestra playing behind him sounds kind of crappy. I don't know if that's because the tempo is faster than is normally played on that piece, or if they just happen to be fairly crappy overall.

I suspect the former.

Note the guy playing a plugged-in Ovation mandolin.

"William Tell Overture" was actually the B-side to Glen Campbell's 1977 vinyl 45rpm single "Southern Nights," which went #1 US Billboard Pop, Country, and Adult Contemporary. #1 Canadian RPM Top Singles and Adult Contemporary and #2 RPM Country Tracks, as well.

Thanks for posting, Wade. Yes, GC gets better every time I watch one of his videos. I think the orchestra missed the groove.
