Help! Not enough room on my small pedal board.

I'm setting up my board, and if I put my Wah on the board, there's no room for expansion for one more pedal.

Since the Wah is so big and heavy, what if I just place it on the floor next to the board? I don't think it will slide around, it's got rubber feet on the bottom. I don't gig anymore, the board will just stay in the house, so that's not an issue.

What do you think? I know this sounds pretty naive, but it's my first board although I've been playing for (insert large number here) years. :D

I have lots of pedals. I just put them on the floor and plug them in.
Get crazy. Have fun.

Thanks, but I"m sort of a neat freak.

Hey Jerry, no reason not to put the wah on the floor. Do you move your pedal board moving much (i.e. out to practice)?

I took my wah off my board years ago because it was too big and I rarely used it. If I were to use it now I'd just hook it up first in line on the floor.

I've seen a lot of people putting the wah on the side separately. It is lower and more stable there anyway.

I don't have a wah (yet) but seems to me unless specifically to make gigging a bit more organized and less units to transport , there is no reason not to simply have the wah on the floor next to your board . If your gigging then personally I would either put it on the board and not worry about it , until you knew you definitely wanted more pedals. Or if you know you want more pedals, then still have it on the floor until such time as you get a bigger board.

since you don't gig, there is no rule that says every pedal has to be on a board. what did people do prior to boards? they put them on the floor. just put the pedals in a manner that the ones you use the most are the easiest to get to.

play music!
