Pocket Preamp for Black Angel Mag Pickup
 

Howdy:
Any recommendations for a small preamp to boost the output of my BA pickup? Looking for something stealth that I can clip to my strap or belt for when I hit open mics (the smaller the better)--something that would be a good match, and it doesn't need a lot of features. It just seems that the sound man always struggles to get enough volume out of the pickup straight in, and my set is often well underway by the time he gets it dialed in.

Baggs Gigpro or a K&K Pure Preamp. Both are beltclip units.

I use an LR Baggs Gigpro and I love it

The first question need to ask is how deep is your pocket?

Shallow for this purpose! Would just see occasional use.
