Enya X4 Pro AcousticPlus
Can someone please tell me why I enjoy playing my Enya X4 Pro AcousticPlus as much as my RainSong BI-DR1000N2, Emerald X20, and Adamas 2087GT-8? I almost wrote that I prefer playing the Enya X4 Pro AcousticPlus more than the other guitars but who'd believe me, right?

Can't tell ya, but I do know a new guitar is always a hoot. Enjoy!

I love my Rainsong but I just decidet to order the Enya X4 Pro. Too many good reviews. My main concern is the standard neck width.
..I have big hands and much prefer a wider strings spacing. But will see! |
Wish it had a looper
I would be very interested in one of these if it had a built-in looper. :(

Even if my Enya X4 Pro AcousticPlus didn't have the actuator circuitry as part of its features (to me it's fun but not necessary and adds extra weight), just the acoustic and amplified tone and the feel of this guitar make it one of my favorites to play. My other carbon and carbon-composite guitars IMHO aren't really worth over 3x to 4x their higher cost over the Enya X4 Pro. Materially, of course, a high-end RainSong or Emerald with more actual carbon fiber is going to cost much more than the Enya X4 which has just a carbon fiber top. It would be interesting if other Enya X4 owners would post their comparative assessment of the tone and feel of their Enya X4 with their other carbon guitars/carbon-composite guitars. Thanks! :)

FYI, on sale at Amazon for $600. When it was $700 yesterday, I was on the fence, but the extra $100 pushed me off of it :).

"X4 Pro CARBON FIBER GUITAR DOESN'T SUCK".So, I don't know if that's just marketing hype or what, but it is tempting. |

As much as I'm intrigued, if I bring home a 3rd CF acoustic this year my wife might choke me.

I saw a video where they say there was excessive fret wear after one month. Did you find this to be the case with yours?

I received mine used in late August. It was likely from someone who gigged it or used it a ton from the looks of the case.
It had some light fret wear and as part of my setup for myself I did some fret redressing and levelling. I have played it probably 5-10 hrs per week since then as part of my collection. Below is a shot after four months. Not really seeing any significant fret wear. And I still am very impressed with this guitar. Particularly for the price.Attachment 83939 |
