Your NFS Archtop

How many archtop players have an NFS archtop?basically your grail guitar

Nothing fancy, but my Heritage 575 has completely fulfilled my electric archtop needs, and it has a lot of cool sentimental value too (it was made the year I started playing guitar, I bought it right after the birth of my first son)

So yeah...that guitar is not for sale, ever.

Now...a great acoustic archtop...I could go for one of those:)

People sell their guitars?

This one is a keeper for me...

Got a Godin CW II that fills all my electric archtop needs - still looking for the right birth-year New York Epiphone at the right price...

I don’t know if it counts, but I have an Epiphone “Joe Pass” edition archtop that I’m pretty happy with and don’t plan to ever sell. Mainly b/c I like it and can’t really justify spending more money on guitars. Well.... unless I hit the lottery, in which case i might be able to justify something a notch or two better😁

I wonder how that works.

My Guild A150 is growing on me. It's my only arch top. It will stay for a while.

My 1930 Gibson L-5, which is actually a TG-5 converted to L-5 done at the factory in July 1935. Note the 10th fret marker which belies its origins.

Jim Triggs built a custom archtop for me; I’ve had it for a year and plan to have it for years...

Waited a decade for this Gilchrist 16” w/ Italian bearclaw top, it continues to amaze, would sleep in case before selling: http://www.gilchristmandolins.com/732

You waited 10 years for that guitar, you are a patient man I must say...

Richard Mott 09-10-2018 02:41 PM

Stayed busy with other things

This one is just too cool for school... Built by Sigmund Johannessen the jaw-dropping finish work makes this one a keeper. The pictures don't do it justice. Flamed maple shows through everywhere you see red on the back/sides/neck.

Here's a video feature on this guitar from Guitar Player magazine.
