This list makes me tired just reading it

When I wrote to John and discussed the type of guitar I wanted - the tone, the applications, where it would be living in the next 5-10 years, what mattered (and what didn't), he was confident that he would build me something that would take all of that into consideration and also represent his work well. I have unequivocal trust in that, therefore a lot of these decisions will be left to him. Happy luthier, happy Hanter! Quote:

Worn out...
Sorry to wear you out reading, John.
John already knows all this stuff. I figure folks reading along probably don't... As Hanter wrote above: "When I wrote to John and discussed the type of guitar I wanted - the tone, the applications, where it would be living in the next 5-10 years, what mattered (and what didn't), he was confident that he would build me something that would take all of that into consideration and also represent his work well. He left off the pressure gauge, overhead cams, and fully tinted windows, didn't he? |

I will butt out now... Was hoping to help. Paul |

From now on, every guitar I make with the full Pablo treatment comes with a free sombrero. Whew. (Sorry Paul, blame my brother. He got me started) |

Personally, I would like to see him do a steampunk guitar. And then all that stuff could go on it. You should at least insist on a digital readout of string pitch. Steve |
Sombreros...
Mi cabesa es muy Grande!!! As a matter of fact, I have never found a single hat that fits my big head in ALL my many trips to Mexico. So I always take one with me.
Of course, one could ask John for whatever features might appeal, and skip the rest... All those extras you guys mentioned would add weight. I did ask John if he could build in lighter than air helium chambers, but we thought it might mess with the TONE! Steve, the sting has receded now... :) Carry on gents. Pablo |
The lost cocobolo back glued up and cut out. ( no cutaway cutout yet)
This set is so interesting. It's hard to know just what to do, if anything, down the center of the back. https://photos.smugmug.com/Han/i-f4d..._164921-XL.jpg |
