I was speaking of how I liked your rosette because it embraced the natural wood. We will do something different of course that the rosette you came up with, but I loved the used of the two woods, especially the spalted Maple. Beautiful!

Hey Keith,

Are you referring to the rosette you posted in this thread? If so, that was done by Stephen Sheriff (Edwinson Guitars) not Steve Saville (Saville Guitars). I was wondering because you mentioned spalted maple and the rosette in Steve's (Saville) latest build thread is sapele/ebony with MOP.

Oh yes....I assumed they were the same!

My bad! I think it is all these tax returns!

When I go to bed at night I dream of that tiger myrtle and redwood. I think I need help.

It beats being having the burden of "tax returns dancing in your head"

Okay...so let's roll!

The B&S set looks like it came from the Zootman!

Sure did - Bob C has GREAT wood.

I'll have it all in my hands next week around the 15th.

I'll lay it all out and shoot some photos.

Those are gorgeous woods and I feel the surfboard vibe for sure.

I agree with earlier poster who said this was a courageous thing that you are doing, I'm hoping that it's equally rewarding for you. It sure looks to be a wonderful guitar.

Yes...I found that killer top at Zoots and I put the burner boys on the trail to get that and also stir up the Tiger Myrtle from him, which they did!

stratlord 03-12-2010 06:18 AM

I hate to show my ignorance, but who is the zootman? Everyone seems to know but me! :D
