Offers Welcome!!! Must See!!! SCGC 1929-OO ALL TREE Sound File SOLD
14 Attachment(s)
Up for sale is the first and only ALL TREE Santa Cruz 1929/OO which was completed in 2014 and customized with "The Tree" Mahogany top/back/sides, Adirondack bracing with hot hide glue, backlit tortoise body/peghead/fingerboard binding, backlit tortoise overlay and gold Waverly tuners with Snakewood knobs. All other specs are standard to the 1929/OO.
This is truly one of a kind and has a thread associated with it from when it was built. https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...d.php?t=336411 This unique high/exhibition grade large quilted tortoise-shell is mesmerizing. To build a new one from SCGC you are looking at $24k and very long wait and your probably not going to find a nicer near perfect bookmatched back. Being the 1st ALL TREE guitar made by SCGC, it will only increase in value. Now for the bad news. It has a tiny hairline crack (barely catches on fingernail) on the bottom from where it was shipped and apparently dropped. Based on the images sent to SCGC it is estimated to cost $300 to repair but their repairs are backed up until March with a 4-6 week cure period. Carolyn is holding my place in line to begin the repair ASAP which will return the guitar into new condition. It also has a superficial scratch that can only be seen when the light hits it right on the side and a scratch under the knobs from tuning. SOLD. Sound file video here: https://youtu.be/0UseS3Fxm8s A big thanks to Tim and Jack at the Drum & Strum in Warrenton VA (https://www.drumnstrum.com). Enjoyed spending the morning with the team there. A great group of guys and if you are in the area and need anything, I highly recommend paying them a visit. |
Wow, that's something you don't see every day!

Wow. Two questions:
Fingerboard radius? I tried a 1929 000 and didn’t like the thickness of the V neck. How does it sound? Are there any sound files out there? Thanks Ray |
I believe it is a 14" but I sent a message to SCGC to confirm. I will work on getting a sound file posted. thanks!

That looks like about $16,000 in upgraded wood right there. Maybe more. Figure like that is super rare. Not much left.
I was the first owner...in the end 12 Frets to the body did me in and I wasn't playing it. Letting it go may have been a mistake but it was during a tough economic time for me. C'est la vie! This is a killer guitar. |
