What is your #1 pick for strumming?
I can’t settle on just one if it kills me.

D’Andrea Classic Celluloid in medium-heavy (.84mm.)

I tend to like a warm tone.
Plain old Jim Dunlop .60mm nylon works for me. My SJ-200 also sounds good and a little brighter with any thin celluloid around .048"/.052" thick. I know it's just me but I find thick picks sound way too 'clicky' across the strings. https://i.imgur.com/P8eSg1Pl.jpg Those black 'T' Strings & Beyond picks are great at 0.52" but for some strange reason they won't sell them separately. :( |
Jim Dunlop medium. Cowhide pattern makes them easier to find.

I also like thin picks .48 to .52 I fell I can attack my playing a little harder if needed with them I don’t mind breaking picks.

Gibson Medium pick.

Dunlop USA .96mm

D'Andrea pro plec.

Gravity Gold. I've used every pick material out there and nearly every brand.
Great for strumming or flat picking. |
Dunlop Primetone .88 for me.
|
Dunlop tortex 0.73 or nylon 0.73. Very rarely nylon 0.60 for very fast rhythms.
|
Primetone .88 or 1.0 for me. Second place goes to Ultex in the same thickness range.
|
I use several for variety but lately have been really appreciating casein. Apollo and Charmed Life. .90mm or thereabouts. I like a small triangle with rounder corners than usual.
