NewCabinetDay
Very excited about todays delivery. A Custom FeatherLite 1x12 cabinet in Snakeskin livery from MojoTone. 12lbs. empty, and when loaded with a Celestion Ruby 8ohm guitar speaker total weight will be a very manageable 21 lbs. Fender black, white, silver grill cloth with rubber Fender handle, flat black edge guards and chrome glides and plug and play 1/4” jack wiring round out the custom build.
Unfortunately the folks at MojoTone omitted the mounting screws for the baltic birch soundboard. They are overnighting them to me(thank you Fred)so my speaker installation will be in a day or two. Here’s a look in the mean time. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...50294bb495.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ead1d752f3.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...203845a8b9.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...3e9008e335.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...9efc3d97b1.jpg |

Fender doesn’t offer that covering anymore, and I hunted around but no one is making seafoam green lizard tolex! This will have to suffice for now. Wonderful looking cabinet and the Blackstar head on top looks great, too. I bet when you get your speaker in that cabinet it's all going to sound great!
The Blackstar 20w head on Sweetwater's website sounds great! - Glenn |

No tsunami waves anywhere around me. Also, even if a tsunami were to reach the shores here, we are removed from the beaches and up 50 ft of elevation or so. So no problems. Every time I think about buying a house on an ocean beach, however, I think about the risks of tsunamis and stop thinking about the beach house. Hope all is well for you Frank! - Glenn |
Looks great be interested to hear what you think of the sound (realizing the spk will take a while to break in)

I have high hopes for this little monster. Ive had great success with Celestion Gold, Greenback and Creamback units. The Gold being an alnico magnet, the other two ceramic. I felt the Blue would overdrive too easily and the Cream was way to clean for my style. So i am hoping this Ruby sits right between those two. Wish me luck! |
