Ha. Since I moved the fainting couch into the shop there just isn't enough room to work.......

No, I still have it in Boston-

We were waiting for the case which took a while but it arrived a few days ago. Turns out it was a good thing it took so long- Doing the final check yesterday I found some hairline cracks in the bridge which developed since Woodstock. Turns out in my zeal to make everything as minimal as possible I pushed it a tad too far on the bridge specs- Took a shot at closing them up but it wasn't enough. Very glad I caught this before sending it out.

So this morning was spent removing the bridge, which tested my nerves a bit but ultimately went fine. And I get a second go at carving that bridge. Second time is always better anyway :) Plus adding a little more meat in front of that saddle-

I did feel bad when I found it. Matthew has been waiting so long and many other people have played it since I strung it up before Woodstock. This will only set us back a few days though and the guitar will certainly be better for it.

I just caught this build. Wow! What a fun instrument and such a nice experience.

Wish I could have made Woodstock.

So I met Burton and Woodstock and he is a great guy and I know Matthew has a sense of humor so I can say, there is some irony here. So many of us have gotten to see this beauty and play her and compliment her and the guy who ordered and paid for her is still waiting to experience her. You sir have the patience of a saint!!!!

Burton, I know you are a perfectionist so I know when Matthew does get it, his world will be just that much better!!!!

Absolutely! I’ve been busy with hurricane recovery/eat/sleep/work to notice honestly. :)

AG Props

There are a couple of nice pictures of this guitar taken at WILS 2017 in a brief article by Jeffrey Pepper Rodgers in the February, 2018 issue of Acoustic Guitar magazine. It was certainly one of my show favorites.

Hey, matthewpatrick!

Just wanted to wish you a Happy New Year, which I'm sure you'll have thanks to this totally stunning instrument. What a little gem!

Can you send me a link? I don't subscribe to that particular publication anymore but would like to pick up the hard copy.

THx!
