NGD - Michaud OM-R Lucky Strike/"The Tree"

Hi again!

First of all, I would like to give a shout out to none other than the incredible luthier who has made all this possible, JOEL MICHAUD! He is undoubtedly the most inspiring person I have ever met with a tremendous heart and a burning passion for his craft and way of life. He builds guitars which are a testament to his own self, which are PHENOMENAL. I could go on and on about his work but instead of smothering you all with it, feel free to visit his website below :) (and feel free to drop me an e-mail if you are interested and would like a more personal review of his work)

It has been such an incredible journey to be finally posting my NGD. Heck, it still feels like a dream as I am typing this! There has been over 2 years of coincidences and multiple last minute changes that have ultimately led to this moment and I could not have been happier. Well actually, that is a lie. I could be happier, but that would be tomorrow when I finally get to open up the case and see my guitar for the first time.

For those who have not caught up with my build thread, which is definitely worth a look even if it is just to scroll through the eye candy, the guitar has arrived safely but as it has travelled a great distance, it would be best if I left it in its case for 24 hours upon unboxing to allow it to acclimatise to the climate here.

Therefore, to satisfy the guitar-thirst, I have taken some shots of my KARURA case. I will definitely give a review of it following further inspection. Meanwhile, as it is white, it is more prone to dirt, stains etc. However, as long as it is not a scratched past the surface which is kinda tough to do considering how hard it is (will probably have a picture of me jumping on it sometime in the future), a good thorough cleaning should do the trick. Since I have not been able to actually play my guitar, I have spent a good deal of time wiping it with a cloth, and a greater deal stopping my fingers from wandering to the latches.

Congrats Marcus! I'm looking forward to more updates and don't be stingy with the pictures!

Karura Case

Just a couple of shots of the Karura Case to wet your appetite ;) There will be several more shots, some of which are glamour shots and the rest to showcase its hardware for those of you who are considering one. I love the overall look and feel of the case so far. It looks like it is guarding a priceless treasure inside and definitely feels like it! Loving the classy white look. I actually went for a white exterior to minimise heat exposure as Singapore tends to be really hot and sunny!

Joel also included several surprises in my package that I shall be sharing over the next few days. I am afraid that I will not be able to get photos of my guitar up that soon, and to prevent myself from being banned due to unpopular discontent, I shall save some photos for later

Oh man... I just said that I wouldn't be able to deliver too quickly! But don't worry... I will do my duty to be a good AGFer and post as many photos as I can! ;)

The Karura case is surprisingly well balanced!! I even pushed it while it was standing up, and it would sway but wouldn't fall over! :) plus I was always ready to drop the DSLR and spring forward to save the case.
