Miranda Lambert
 

I got to hear/see Miranda and her band last night at the Calif. Mid State Fair.....Sure, I'm in love. She puts on a terrific show, and she exhibited what I thought was the best amplified acoustic guitar sound I've ever heard! She played what appeared to be a large bodied Gibson, maybe a Hummingbird, not sure, wasn't close enough.


I'm a guitar freak, especially electric, and I didn't like her lead guitarist's tone at all, (unfortunately). He's a great player, yet his scuzzy sound reminded me of the days we would hook a Pignose amplifier on our belt with a one inch speaker.
Anyway, if you like sassy, loud, up tempo and heartfelt country, don't miss Miranda!

I'm not much of a fan of the modern country stuff, but her Weight of These Wings album is exceptionally good. Was probably my favorite new release of 2017 I think it was.
