A man’s wife can complain and can fume
So a collection can spell a man’s doom But she said to her spouse Lets buy a new house Your guitars need their very own room |

But I must add a line…or five: There was an old vet from New York, (oh boo) Who’d much rather play than do work. (et tu?) He came down to Texas, That lutherie Nexus, But all he could find was a dork. (Or two) |

Of Kathy my love is unbroken. She says not about what I choose, As long as I don't mention her shoes! Quote:

More work has been done in Nacogdoches
most likely fueled with some custard filled donuts. That was a weak rhyme and I know it, This rhyming ain't easy, but I don't want to quit. So first it is sanded in this high tech machine To make sure the radius is just what it seems. The back is glued on with care and delight, It fits they all scream with very little fight. Thank you Kevin and John for stopping by,
A few more pics now to meet the eye. First Ryan is routing the sound port without a cuss, then his favorite, sanding the top radius. Attachment 68071 Attachment 68072 Steve bending the binding for the headstock, Delicate work, but steady as a rock. This little prose thread started from nowhere, But you can see they continue now elsewhere! Attachment 68073 Attachment 68074 Attachment 68075 |

A bridge is made to hold the strings,
This piece of wood much joy it brings. I picked this over another lighter one, as I love the sapwood and darkness so it won. There is also a little red that shows somehow, it may darken but sure is pretty now. Carving the bridge is an enjoyable art, A beautiful curve from a rectangular start. This one came out particularly nice, I am glad I picked it, really didn't think twice. Attachment 68168 Attachment 68169 Attachment 68170 Attachment 68171 |
