Frosty the Snowman - Willie Nelson chords?
Anyone know the swing version of Frosty that Willie does on Pretty Paper?
I've picked out the melody and can throw in the cool bass runs while playing the basic major and minor chords. But I can hear they're really playing some of those two-handed jazz chords as Doc Watson put it. I could sit down and figure it out, but I got lazy and put it off. Now I need it for a free, town-festival slot this weekend. So help the lazy man, please.:D |

Well, I don't have time to figure out his whole version, but it seems to be in G, so here's a good starting point:
| G6 | G6 G7 | C C#dim | G6 | | C C#dim | G E7 | Am7 D7 | 1. G6 D7 | 2. G6 G7 | |C C#dim | G E7 | Am7 D7 | G6 | | Dmaj7 | B7b9 | Em7 A7 | Am7 D7 | repeat the A section, take the second ending. |

Just to add... Willie Nelson's changes aren't quite as fancy as that (especially in the bridge) but I guess Jeff's are the originals, and they do sound good.

I dunno how original, just how I play it!

The only things I think you got wrong are the C after the E7 which should be Am7 (C with A bass, so not very wrong at all ;)). And there's no D#dim7 in the bridge, it's just D for 2 bars. D#dim7 sounds good though (rootless B7b9 as Jeff posted), so keep it! |

And those B7b9''s can totally be D# diminished to be more guitar friendly. |
