Identify this gibson

Hi,

I was reading an article (here) and wonder which model was the slope shoulder gibson hold by the CEO.

Thanks

I believe that is Gibsonís J-45 Sustainable model.

Is it just me or does that truss rod cover look off center?

It does, but I think it's an optical illusion caused by a combination of the thicker strings on the bass side and the corner skewing of a very wide-angle lens.

Or Gibson's famous attention to detail and QC on display

Ralph,
It may be that the only thing that is sustainable with Gibson is 'Good Enough', but that's just a hunch.

The finish of the head stock looks very cool. And I am bit scared about the edge of the desk.

It definitely is an optical illusion. Blow the picture up and the truss rod cover is centered.

No worries, it's a sustainable desk too ...

Well, I don't know. My only Gibson was built in 1934. I've tried to buy Gibson flat tops a number of times during the "Henry" era and been consistently disappointed.

The guitar in the picture is a standard Gibson jumbo shape - s'all I know.

I've been known to say that if you want to buy a good Gibson Jumbo, buy a Blueridge or an Eastman!

I wish Gibson every future success and I really like the sound of more positive communication with other brands and makers.

Mr JC looks somewhat "cooler" than Henry!
