Me too...
Beautiful woods and a fantastic builder.
This will be big fun to follow. Enjoy the thrill ride Paul |
I am very happy for you. If you drive to Arizona, you are passing right by, you might need to stop on your way home, just sayin!

The aesthetics of this guitar are appealing but you will not be prepared for the tone it will give you. I'm on my second Kostal (a Mod D) and I just can't fathom how a guitar can sound as good as his does. Standby!
This is a great example of his basses. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSlH7FTUOmo Cincy |

Back is cut out and braced and ready for gluing to the rim. Here's a pic of my back with it's batch siblings, an 00 that will have a Cambodian Rosewood back and sides (on the left) and an MDW that will have Cocobolo back and sides (center).

No intention of hijacking your thread but I’m the lucky client of the cocobolo back (I’ve even spotted my name on it). I am following your thread eagerly!

My goodness this is going to RAWK!!!
Sure is pretty! Cheers Paul |
Here's a view of the back glued to the rim. Not sure where Jason is on the top at this point. I'll be totally inspired by this guitar!

This looks fantastic, Bob!
And knowing Jason, it will be amazing!!! |
Looks wonderful Bob. Enjoy the process, it will be over before you know it!

Definitely in my top 3 favorite sets of Koa I have ever seen. What a beautiful choice.
|
Love that Koa! Congrats on what looks to be an amazing build!
