Actually an excuse to test posting a picture. But since I had to post something: My Rayco Roundneck.

My custom built Appalachian square neck, just before it left the shop:

I'll post a picture when I'll buy one. I never considered them seriously until I played one I quite liked at Hilo Guitars.

National Resophonic M1 Tricone

Cone Head 10-12-2014 10:04 AM

Here's my trio of National Triolians - a wood-bodied 1929, a very early steel mandolin from '29, and a steel bodied '31 with the "hooks-on" coverplate:

Here's a 1936 National Style O that I got in really rough shape for $300, then I spent three times that amount getting a new neck made and installed by Marc Schoenberger...still works out to less money than a new NRP, and it's the best sounding Style O I've ever played. It's my "beater" guitar haha:

It takes a real man to play a tiny pink guitar. :D
This is a cheezy but fun guitar, an early 60s National 1133 short-scale (22") student model solidbody:

One more photo of my '31 Triolian for good measure:

Dr player, Don't ask me why but that guitar is a perfect match for that table! :)
Oh and Mule's always look like they are out of a Budweiser commercial lol. Got that rugged, country look to them!

The Republic guitars website pics are better than any I could take myself , but I've got one of these l'il' beauties. http://republicguitars.com/resolian/...body-style-332

Bought it used, always lots to fish for in the Bay, as they are one of those things that people GAS for, then get bored with....

Mine is immaculate, hard case, less than half of new price. :)

This was taken a few years back as a sunburst collection.

I still own the '87 Dobro 60D on the left, but have since sold the Model 27 Deluxe on the right.

This old photo of the 2004 collection has a Hound Dog (U.S. made and not a bad reso), a Flinthill and an offbrand cutaway POS in it.

Ooops! The Flinthill was in this 2003 shot.

Do one really needs to have such big strings and high setup?

kydave 10-12-2014 01:15 PM

Mycroft: That's lovely, but did you know you got a busted wire?

;)
