Inlay recommendations

My partner is having a custom guitar made. She would like some artistic inlay on the fingerboard.

Can anyone give some recommendations for inlay artists who we could contact?

Thanks!

Are you after some one to,

A - Design the work
B - Design work and cut and supply the inlays
C - Design work cut inlays and fit to a supplied fretboard.

All are typically different groups and different costs associated

Sorry, wasn't specific enough. Looking for C - design and install inlay on a supplied fretboard.

Thanks. We've worked with him in the past and are looking for alternatives.

If you are looking for an alternative, William (Grit) Laskin.

Thanks Charles! A luthier friend just gave the same recommendation this afternoon.

Perfect, in my locality I offer the same for local builders and local guitar building classes

Grit Laskin is ONLY doing his own inlay, no more third-party.

DePaule supply will cut you whatever you want. They also have a huge assortment to chose from and get some ideas from. I like dealing with them as well. Good people.

My bad, did not read well enough. I don’t know if they will install the inlays. My bad.

Check in with Dave Nichols - he's been at it for more than 50 years:

Craig Lavin is also great. He did some beautiful stuff for me on a guitar built by John Kinnaird. Great to work with also.

Yes, She’s Kathy’s daughter. Her work is spectacular.
