For John Denver fans - The Windstar Greatest Hits

Just got some new Vinyl from Windstar records and this is a good one for John Denver fans. John had re-recorded a number of his hits for Windstar prior to his untimely death. The recordings are interesting because he doesn't try to stay true to the original, rather he demonstrates how the years have changed his performance of the songs. Some may say the album is a little heavy on the production... But hearing his vocals on these memorable songs at a more mature point in his life is definitely worthwhile for any JD fan. Of course some good acoustic guitar playing too. Check out the album here: https://www.amazon.com/Windstar-Grea...enver+windstar JR |
Many thanks I totally agree listened to it yesterday [emoji106][emoji106]

Odd that they chose a younger John Denver for the cover.
Wish it was available on CD or download. I don't play vinyl anymore. |
Sorry, I was referring to the Vinyl version but it's also available in digital and streaming...
Here's the MP3 version... https://www.amazon.com/Windstar-Grea...enver+windstar It's also on Spotify... https://open.spotify.com/album/4uZZ6dOmCdwfhR4pcRcTFa |

I will definitely check it out on Spotify. Was glad I had a chance to see him once when he came to a fundraiser my college had for water resources.

Great share JR. Sunshine on my shoulders was my first guitar song. So much history swirling around these songs. Takes me back. Thanks!

Thanks JR. I'll have to order that.
