Vincent

A few weeks back I shared photo's of a 12 fret 00 Martin style slothead I built. I recorded this to show what it sounds like:

I didn't learn to play guitar till after I retired, so the playing isn't the best, but it does show the sound fairly well. I like it, but this is the only acoustic I've ever played, as the other 5 guitars I've built are classicals,

Nice tone on that guitar. Very well played, too. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely sound - it must be quite something to play an instrument you have made yourself and come up with this quality of music...

Very nicely done, Mike. And congratulations on that guitar. :guitar:

Thanks Rod! It takes me about a year to build one, so I really do derive satisfaction from being able to make music on one!

Thanks Kerbie! I'm too shy to play for people in person, so I really appreciate the feedback,
Mike

A very nice arrangement of that song. It needs just a little tweaking, a bit more fluidity when you are playing, but man, for a guy who didn't start playing until after retirement very, very nice. Actually better than just nice IMO. You must derive great pleasure from playing on a guitar you've built yourself--a nice sounding guitar to boot.

Thanks for the kind words Nailpicker. Luckily I love this song and won't mind spending extra time on it to make it flow better. It is just a little above me technically right now, but it is rewarding to work on it and make it better!

Thanks Joe!

No, I'd like to claim the arrangement, but it is by John Knowles who wrote for Chet Atkins!
