Took completion pictures of the Concert Uke, which I strung up yesterday. I had to remove a Tea Tree from the yard that had been standing dead for over a year, and was surprised by how nice the wood is, so I used it for the bridge you see here:

Jesse, I had hoped to see you at the last NCAL event, perhaps the next one 5/7?

Ready for the back, but the back is not ready as it lacks the center reinforcement and the label.

Looks like another fantastic 000 coming of your bench...

I glued the back on this morning, went to lunch, and returned to prepare the box for binding. Being covered with Pernambuco router effluvia, I brushed my shirt off into the toilet, waited 5 minutes and took a picture of the bowl. This is the acid test for whether or not your Pernambuco is genuine. I am told that no other wood produces this blush color against a white background when it contacts water. The pretenders all come up brown instead. Perhaps this is why P is number one, and all the others are at best number two.

Here's the guitar at the moment:

Here's how little the step in the sides needs to be to allow for the dish depth w/o a mold:

Tough crowd. Thank you very much.

Something about my cutaway seems to have broad appeal:

I don't mean to be obtuse, but it's not quite an acute miter, so that can't be it.

I don't know Bruce, I think your miter is just fine.

I beg to differ, I think it's a cute miter.

I am very thankful that one does not HAVE to use emoticons to alert readers to humor.

In all seriousness, my favorite cutaway designs are yours and Ervin's.
