You May Be Right, Billy Joel 1980

"You May Be Right" is a single written and performed by rock singer Billy Joel from his 1980 album Glass Houses. The song reached #7 on the US charts and #6 in Canada. It failed to chart, however, in the UK. This is unlike his preceding and succeeding singles "All for Leyna" (UK #40) and "It's Still Rock and Roll to Me" (UK #14). The Japanese single features "Close to the Borderline" as a B-side.

For all the "Yes Man" of our world, you may be wrong!!!
Peace and love to all peoples!!!

A fun way to start my day, for sure. Todays project song? Check! Thank you Rene for a feel good start to the day.

I had that LP way back then. Was sent home from work early because of a snowstorm hitting NYC. Stopped into the record store near the train station and bought that album on the way home. My neighbor and i drank and smoked the afternoon away listening and reading, analyzing and re-reading the album cover a hundred times, as we did back then. Just like it was yesterday.

Rene!

That was cool! Really well done!

I have been thinking of covering this song myself. You were reading my mind, Rene! Great job on this!

Hi Chickee,
Loved the story on this song and album!
This particular song is truly a jam song, and one of my personal fav.
Not an easy song to cover, and quite fast and furious, and I keep on making a mistake, which gets be back to step one each time.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful memories on this song and album.
Love it!!!
Rene

Hi Glenn,
It would be cool to hear your version, as all these classics will have a different flavor with each artist's blend.
Thank you for the wonderful comments.
We have the same musical wavelengths.
With much respect,
Rene

By the way, were you able to get this song recorded, Glenn?
Just wanted to revisit this "mind-reading" and hopefully completed classic song recording.
You are simply so awesome, and wanted to hear your loved covers.
Respectfully,
Rene
